Cheese-filled horns

  • 350 ml milk
  • 1 yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g butter
  • 600 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 200 g mozzarella & cheddar (use a mix)
  • poppy seed


Add a slice of ham in each roll or a dollop of pesto.


Serve freshly baked or put them in the oven on 150 C for 5-7 minutes.

Delicious cheese-filled horns. Eat them straight from the oven or pack them for a tasty lunch or picnic.

Melt the butter and stir in the milk. Combine the flour, yeast and salt and knead in the milk mixture. Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size. Divide into two portions and use a rolling pin to make flat circles. Divide them into 8 pizza slices and sprinkle each slice with 1-2 tbsp grated cheese. Roll them up and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let rise under a cloth for another 30 min. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake the horns for 12-15 min. at 200°C using upper and lower heat until golden. Cool on a grate.
