Tortilla stack

  • 400 g minced meat (preferable beef)
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp taco spice mix
  • 5 flour tortillas
  • 0.5 red bell pepper
  • 4 tbsp sweet corn
  • 150 g Apetina® Mozzarella or cheddar


For variation, you can use wholegrain tortillas or chicken instead of minced meat.


Serve with salad, tomato salsa and sour cream

A stack of flour tortillas filled with delicious taco meat and topped with melted mozzarella. An exciting twist on everyone’s favourite dish!

Who won’t be impressed when you put this stack on the table? A festive Tex-Mex meal with layers of flavour.

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Cut the onion into thin wedges and sauté until transparent. Add the minced meat and cook until nearly done.

Add the crushed garlic and taco spice mix and continue to cook until done.

Place a flour tortilla on a baking tray lined with baking parchment, spread with some of the meat, then sprinkle on some sweetcorn, chopped bell peppers and cheese. Repeat until you’ve used all of the tortillas, then finish with a layer of cheese.

Bake in the oven until golden, around 5-10 minutes. Serve immediately!
