Brownie with Cream Cheese Topping

  • 200 g natural Cream Cheese
  • 300 g caster sugar
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 100 g melted chocolate
  • 4 eggs
  • 225 g plain flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 60 g walnuts - coarsely chopped

Cream cheese topping

  • 100 g natural Cream Cheese
  • 10 g icing sugar
  • lemon
  • 16 strawberries


Add cream cheese to the batter for a characteristic, dense brownie texture without using any butter.


Decorate the brownie squares with fresh fruit such as strawberries.

A dense and flavourful chocolate brownie, which melts in your mouth thanks to the cream cheese in both cake and topping.

In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Toss in the cream cheese and melted chocolate. Sift together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and salt and fold into the egg mixture along with the walnuts. Line a baking tray approx. 20-25 cm with grease proof paper and bake at 180°C for 20-25 min.

Meanwhile make the topping by whipping all ingredients together in a bowl. Decorate the brownie with the cream cheese topping and cut them in squares (approx. 16 pieces).
